New Webhook Integration for Notification Across Platforms

We are excited to announce the new Webhook Integration feature, designed to streamline communication with external platforms. This feature allows you to integrate platforms like Zabbix, PagerDuty, Slack, Telegram, and RocketChat with the SD-WAN Portal, ensuring real-time alerts for system events such as node, EVC, and interface status changes. This integration enables more efficient monitoring and automated actions based on specific alerts.

What Does It Do?

The Webhook feature facilitates the seamless exchange of data between the SD-WAN Portal and any external notification service of your choice. This enables automation of tasks like sending notifications, updating systems, or triggering actions based on specific events.

Some example use cases include:

  • Sending real-time alerts when a node goes up or down.
  • Receiving status updates on interface changes.
  • Automatically triggering external workflows upon specific event occurrences.

Webhook Automation

Why This Matters

The Webhook Integration feature provides several key benefits:

  • Effortless Setup: Quickly configure webhook URLs for a wide range of notification platforms, including Zabbix, PagerDuty, Slack, Telegram, and RocketChat.
  • Flexibility: Integrate with your preferred notification systems to tailor alerts according to your specific needs.
  • Automation for Efficiency: Automate real-time notifications and minimize manual intervention, ensuring timely responses and streamlined workflows.

How It Works

Setting up your webhook is easy and straightforward:

  1. Create Webhook URL: Generate a webhook URL in the chosen notification platform (e.g., Zabbix, PagerDuty, etc.). This URL will be the endpoint to which the SD-WAN Portal will send data when relevant events occur.
  2. Test the Webhook: After creating the webhook URL, test it within our platform by simulating an event to ensure the data exchange works correctly.
  3. Configure the Webhook: Once tested, configure the webhook in the SD-WAN Portal to automatically trigger actions based on your selected events (e.g., node status changes, EVC updates, or interface alerts).

Types of Alerts You Can Receive

With this feature, you can set up webhooks to receive a variety of alerts, including:

  • Node Alerts: Receive instant notifications when a node goes down or becomes unreachable, ensuring uptime and system reliability.
  • EVC Alerts: Get real-time notifications on changes to the status of Ethernet Virtual Connections (EVCs), maintaining smooth connections between remote sites.
  • Interface Alerts: Be alerted when there are changes in interface status, such as up/down events, which is essential for network health monitoring.

What’s Next?

The webhook integration feature is available now, and you can configure it with platforms like Zabbix, PagerDuty, Slack, Telegram, and RocketChat. We're continuously working on expanding platform compatibility to offer even more integration options. Stay tuned for future updates that will enhance automation, monitoring, and real-time alerting capabilities.

At WiLine, we are committed to providing tools that allow you to automate processes and optimize workflows, improving your business operations.
